I always thought the Gen 1 Fossil sprites looked way too good to be Gen 1. Well done matching that style in the smaller sprite, and the large one has a ton of awesome little details going on.

Thank you, I was using those sprites for comparison while making these ones
Strikingly Howard Hamlin-esque
Kinda upsetting they forgot Kris existed when making HG/SS. Lyra is fine enough as a design, but Kris is the first time I feel they really went a bit "out there" with a protagonist design in a Pokemon game and I always thought she looked rad.
The only Persona game I ever played
So much effort went into these. I don't recognize every game here, but all the ones I do seem pretty faithful. Idk if the colors match constraints for some of the NES sprites, but regardless the look is absolutely there.
The restrictions don't really end up met since most of the enemies/assets using the black pixels can appear above ground and would use the light blue in that spot. That being said, dig the style. The level of shading on a lot of the sprites is reminiscent of the all stars sprites, which I always enjoyed.
I kinda knew that going in. Figured it would be more fun having the extra black color than being accurate.
It's canceled? Damn. Some of these are all-timers. Never understood how you got that wave looking so real.
Just looked at a real wave. I can't find what picture I used for reference, but it was likely this one:

Also, only canceled in the sense that I've dropped this version of it. I may revisit the idea some time in the future.
Love the style! Gotta give 5 starts for the iconic Guts Man's Ass pose.
Immediate 5-star for looking really cool and factoring in NES palette and sprite limitations. Idk if it could actually display, but it sure looks accurate! Tenouttaten!
It's always fun coming up with ways to factor in the NES's limited capabilities against a more modern system such as making Sectonia's wings a solid colour. I ended up learning a lot about different expansion chips like the MMC5 allowing palettes to be per 8x8 tile instead of 16x16.
No way, was that you that made that video?? That looks like the same door and everything. I watched that as a kid and you just unlocked the memory.
I was not the person who made that video though yeah it's also an early memory for me lol
I make things.
